No way to inspect tags

Reported by Mike Czepiel | March 21st, 2009 @ 12:11 AM

When viewing a tagged commit there is no way to view the tag object itself whether it be a lightweight tag or a commited tag object.

This is especially painful when you may want to view the annotations associated with any tag created with git tag -a

Ideally you could also view and verify signed tags.

Yes, there's currently no way to inspect tags.

I'm also not planning on adding it soon. I might do it eventually, but I'd rather have other things first. You're of course free to take shot at it yourself, I'll gladly review your patches :)
