enhancement: Show current branch name in Commit View
Reported by Chris Bailey | March 4th, 2009 @ 09:15 PM
I do nearly all my commits through GitX now (thanks!). One thing that would be super handy would be to show the name of the current branch up in the toolbar (or similar) when in the Commit View. This way you could catch the case where you might be on the wrong branch prior to doing a commit, etc. Toolbar, panes down below, pretty much anywhere in the UI of the Commit View would work for me. Thanks.

Hey, have a look at http://gitx.lighthouseapp.com/pr... (best start watching the other thread). If this gets merged it should do exactly what you want.
