gitx command stopped working
Reported by Ask Bjørn Hansen | April 3rd, 2009 @ 12:26 AM
If GitX isn't already running I get this error on the command line:
$ gitx --all
2009-04-02 15:24:29.516 gitx[84408:10b] LSOpenFromURLSpec() returned -10810 for application file://localhost/private/var/folders/Yn/Ynv8wRGl2RSie++8ZL3cv++++TI/-Tmp-/GitX%200.6.1%20Update/GitX.app/ urls .
Couldn't connect to app server!
And a dialog box saying:
Dyld Error Message:
Library not loaded: @loader_path/../Frameworks/Sparkle.framework/Versions/A/Sparkle
Referenced from: /private/var/folders/Yn/Ynv8wRGl2RSie++8ZL3cv++++TI/-Tmp-/GitX 0.6.1 Update/GitX.app/Contents/MacOS/GitX
Reason: image not found
This broke after upgrading to 0.6.2. I tried removing and re-installing the gitx helper.

Are you running the command from inside a screen?

This looks like the sparkle bug we saw earlier. try removing the GitX in /private/var/folders/Yn/Ynv8wRGl2RSie++8ZL3cv++++TI/-Tmp-/GitX 0.6.1 Update/ and try again.

Hi Pieter,
That did the trick. Sorta obvious after you suggested it, doh.
Thank you!
