Committing view : horizontal scroll requested

Reported by rudif | June 4th, 2009 @ 12:18 AM

It would be nice to have a horizontal scrollbar on the top pane ("Unstaged changes for file"), since some machine-generated files have very long lines.

    GitX already has this feature...
Besides the fact that you didn't really elaborate the problem, supply us with a version-number of GitX/git or create a mockup, I went through the trouble of making a screenshot:

    GitX longlines

There, looks like what you want, has been in GitX as long as I know (isn't even a "feature" but more of a given when using a WebView).

I confused myself and I apologize for making an inappropriate feature request.

Indeed the horizontal scrollbar is there (*), if you know where to look :
it is at the bottom of the scrolled region, and it becomes visible when I scroll vertically down to the bottom of the view.

This is different from the more obvious arrangement of scrollbars as in Finder, where the horizontal scrollbar (if present) does not move out of view when the
    vertical scroll goes up.
Implicitly I expected that the horizontal scrollbar
in the Commit view (if present) would be in a similar place, hence my confusion.
