GitX default view
Reported by J. Pablo Fernandez | March 11th, 2010 @ 05:32 PM | in 0.8
I think it would be nice if it was possible to configure GitX's default view. 95% of the time when I open GitX I want the commit view, and even then, the commit view loads fast while the history view is slower, so I would much rather have to jump to the history view than the other way around and have to wait.
If no configuration is possible, I'd rather have commit as default.

Instead of making this a configuration option it should be part of the document state. Just like GitX remembers the window details (position, size, etc), it should remember the state of the views when reopened. If I close the window in History mode it should reopen there and likewise for commit mode.

- Tag changed from views to history-view, stage-view, views
In my fork I added a user default to store the state of the history/stage view selection. This won't apply to the current gitx master because it relies on the sidebar view being in control of the others.
