All files modified when working in a repo on an SMB share

Reported by Tekkub | September 21st, 2009 @ 09:06 AM

I know, I"m a horrible horrible person for working in a repo over the network... but WoW runs so much better on my PC and it's a bitch to copy everything back and forth...

Anywho, on to the issue. Every single file in every network repo shows up as modified, all the time. How exactly does GitX determine if a file is changed? Git doesn't think the files are modified, but git-gui and GitX do... For example:

@@@[tekkub@tekBook: /Volumes/AddOns/GoodNewsEveryone master*] $ git status

On branch master

nothing to commit (working directory clean)

oh noes

Any ideas? I hate using the command line to see what's really changed.
