Option to change default sort order (by date rather than topology)

Reported by Robert | July 19th, 2010 @ 05:15 PM

The default topological sort can often make simple finite-branch repos look unwieldy with wild & long merge lines crossing every which-way. It can temporarily be worked around via the command line:

gitx --all --date-order

There is presently no gui option for this, however, and it shows an odd branch-name in the gui. Even if it was only accessible via the 'defaults' command, being able to change the default sort order would be quite a help.
